Dozer & new house (few pics)
Here are a few pics of Dozer's new house. It's 7'x3'x3'. Heat is rhp + uth on therm + dimmer. It's not the prettiest, and wasn't a whole ton of money (the hardware- locks, casters, etc., & the rhp- were the most expensive parts), but it took a while cuz I'm a procrastinator.
It needs some improvements, I'd like to make the face of it look nicer, and I plan on adding a couple of removable shelves... but here it is.
The pictures are kinda crap, but honestly, the hard part was being able to get far enough away to fit the thing in the frame.
He has a slide up door/hatch on the side for feeding, and I will soon put in some removable shelves (which is why I made it taller) and plan on making some other improvements before he becomes monstrous, but right now I'm just glad to have him in a bigger house.

Looks like a pretty sturdy cage. Is that glass or plexi?

Affordable and functional doesn't always have to = pretty! I like the padlock hinges also, I'm a big fan of those. Nice job.

Re: Dozer & new house (few pics)
It's 1/4" Plexi. I honestly can't give you a totally accurate price, only because I already had the Plexiglass from a previous build, and don't remember the exact price of that, but, barring the heating stuff (flexwatt, thermostat, dimmer, rhp, thermometers - basically stuff you have to pay cost for if you buy from someone else anyhow) and including the hardware, which includes: ball caster wheels, a couple of door locks
+ paint, screws, hinges, paint, polyurethane... probably around $125 - $150.
The Plexi windows are both 2' x 2', and the middle piece is from a previous -previous build. Basically the middle piece is somthing I threw in cuz my wife didn't think 2 2x2 windows were enough, at the time (they were). Plexi is the expensive part, basically.
As far as instructions, I used instructions that I found on sites like this (actually, this site has some of the better and easier to find tutorials), and suited them to fit my needs. Keep in mind that 7 x 3 x 3 means that it pretty much stays in this room without some serious work to move it. The wheels only make it easy to move around this room.
Next time I build a larger enclosure (my b&w tegu), I'll make sure I can get it through doorways, or make it so that I can split it in half.
thanks for the comments.

I hope so, but if not, I have a boa that may outgrow her current enclosure (4x2x18"). I'll upgrade Dozer (maybe not so much height next time, but width and depth), and give her this one, regardless of which one needs one first.

That's how it is with Misty's home. It's really not that pretty, and the windows and vents are a little lopsided, but I still did it myself

Nothing crazy expensive. I don't really promote brands, as I haven't had lots of experience with any of them, and I don't want to be to blame if what I'm using fails for someone else, and I'm not a nascar driver, so I don't get paid for it. But if someone gives me their products free (or pays me), I'll totally promote them. If you remember to ask how it's working for me in a few months I'll tell ya the brand (you won't remember/care) . If it craps out, or has problems, I'll be sure to let people know, of course. The thermostat is an on/off one right now. I use digital thermometer/humidity gauges, and use one of those lazer infrared temp guns to spot check for hot spots regularly.

He'd still rather be crawling around the house.
