He's a sweetie. Was a little snappy when he was a youngin but he grew out of it. A little hissy and does not like to be touched, but he's all bluff.

I think it's a common misconception since most people don't keep their snakes more than a year or two, which is right about the time they start to mellow out. Same with carpets.

He is a breitensteini, or Borneo short-tailed python. Not "technically" a blood, but essentially a different subspecies. And he eats jumbo rats, sometimes larges.
