All Texas 'indigenous snake owners'

So I need to know where in god's name I can obtain the Permit #580.

For those of you who aren't in TX - we are now required to have permits to own larger types of pythons and all hots not indigenous to Texas. Lame.

But just to be safe - because I love my Retic - I wanna actually get the permit. But I have no clue where.

I can't find anywhere online, but I'm not very good at digging through the numerous TDFW's databases. I've tried Walmart (they sell fish/game licenses) but the guy had NO IDEA what I was talking about.

Re: All Texas 'indigenous snake owners'

From Keith's Fauna post:

Permits are available at Texas Parks and Wildlife Department offices and wherever hunting and fishing licenses
are sold (aproximately 1,700 locations). There are no application requirements. For more information, call
(512) 389-4381, 1-800-792-1112 (option 9, then 4381), or go to TPWD: Permits

Re: All Texas 'indigenous snake owners'

They really ought to have them at Walmart. Maybe try Academy?

Re: All Texas 'indigenous snake owners'

Haven't tried Academy - never crossed my mind, but I definately will try.

I tried Walmart, but everyone there had no clue about what a "license" was - unless it was a driver's license. Ugh.
