Hybrid rockXburm
Hi from Italy, here is my hybrid rockXburm. With a little attention you can distinguish the pattern of both species. Has anyone experience in breeding these hybrids (of course I will not breed it with pure rocks or burms) ? I think some of them could be sterile.
Regards,
Stefano

Re: Hybrid rockXburm
There are quite a few people on here that are very strongly opposed to hybrids. I just wanted to let you know, you might get a lot of snarky comments on this thread, but don't let it scare you off-we're a good bunch of people here and it's a great place to learn a ton about herps.

Re: Hybrid rockXburm
I would think that if you have such strong feelings on the matter, that the Debate forum might be a better place to vent your emotions. No need to be rude to a new member. If you don't have anything nice to say, then don't say anything at all. I don't recall being flamed last time I posted a pic of my Jungle/Diamond Carpet.

Re: Hybrid rockXburm
I reacted very strongly because I thought this was going to be a post asking other members if rock/ burm hybrids have been done, not that someone actually owns one. I have seen a rock/burm hybrid in the flesh before, interesting looking snake until I found out how many clutches of dead snakes had to pile up before this breeder was able to get a clutch that had a few live ones in it. I am not debateing, just telling my personal experience with the rock/burm hybrid. If you want to go into more detail PM me.
In all honesty it is kind of hard to hold in ones emotions when he or she has seen countless pictures containing piles of dead snakes that died so a breeder can have one of those "special" snakes.
