If I ever get a giant, I want one of these or a green anaconda. I'm a sucker for green or purple snakes (well, really anything) since they're my favorite colors. :P
I know... I'm such a girl.

Re: update on the deceased retic.
Congrats on your acquisitions of "giant snakes" and good luck with your future ventures too.
But.....if I may suggest something in a friendly way, if as you say, anacondas are not for you, and you really do not particularly like them, think about it before you get one just because you want to own it. I understand about the thrill that comes with owning something like that (I get a thrill over my little three foot boa), but I think I would consider what is best for the animal, and whether you may have difficulty selling or "disposing" of it to a good home once the thrill has worn off, it becomes a problem and you no longer want it.

Re: update on the deceased retic.
oh i would never get one unless i knew i was going to keep it for its whole life. i dont get snakes anymore if i am not willing to keep them forever. the only way i would get one is if i became more interested and intrigued by them, and that would be years (5 or more) down the road. i do appreciate the concern tho.

Re: update on the deceased retic.
i shouldnt say the dont interest me. i do find them fascinating, but then again i find any snake fascinating. other than rat snakes, corns, and things like that, but anacondas for some reason just arent my favorite snakes. i dont know why. maybe there color pattern i dunno. i did kind of like the baby green one i played with at my friends pet store. just couldnt see myself owning one at this time.
