Afrocks...
I know some have kept them, or at least worked with them....I'm curious as to what you are feeding them as adults...Saw a thing on NatGeo last night and it showed an adult 'Rock eating a gazelle. Now, unless you are a klepto with a truck near a zoo you won't be feeding your snake a gazelle, but I'm curious.

Re: Afrocks...
I don't know if this will answer your question entirely but here's what I know: I worked closely with a friend who was keeping adult African Rock pythons in East Texas 20 or so years ago. (also other large pythons). He fed his big Rocks large rabbits and they did very well on that. Sometimes he would offer pigs, in rural areas back then these were cheap, the big pythons seemed to really go for larger prey.
.
Here's a related subject that I find interesting.. Do large snakes benefit in any way from large prey items? .... better nutrition? 'psychologically'? exercise? other?

Re: Afrocks...
I knew that pigs and large rabbits are often offered to the bigger snakes, but I didn't know if since they technically COULD consume something much larger that they often DO (in captivity).
Your related question in essence is the point.

Re: Afrocks...
a meal like that would take monthe to digest if you were to feed pray items that large you would never be able to handle your snake

My dad use to have a sub adult Afrock. He fed her 7-10 pound rabbits every 2-3 weeks.

Re: Afrocks...
i always assumed they would be fed big huge rabbits. If bob Clark used to keep Fluffy on a Diet of rabbits, then im sure you could keep an afrock on rabbits. I remember seeing a huge afrock at a exhibit, it was really calm and cool. They fed it Rabbits. I also heard that afrocks hold the record for eating the largest prey
