new baby burmese
hey guys, i have a new baby burmese, she is my first burmese, but not my first "big snake". she is very friendly, happy, and eats well, but she makes a popping noise when she breaths. ive heard this is a sypmtom of respitory infection but she seems fine. we've had her about 3 months now and nothing has changed. she is active and loves to be handled. any ideas on whats going on, it would be greatly appriciated on your feedback
thanx

Re: new baby burmese
Could be a scale that didnt come off when she shed that is over her nostril but usually that produces a wheeze. Has she shed since you noticed this sound? What are her temps like?

Re: new baby burmese
congrats im jealous, im going to be getting a albino male burm in the near future. i would like a female but i dont want to end up with a 28 foot snake on my hands. im hoping exspecially since you got a female you are aware of her potential size, and you are still going to keep her for the lifetime of the snake. i have heard of to many released, or gotten rid because of thier size.
anyways good luck and congrats, i cant wait to get mine.

Re: new baby burmese
As far as the popping noise goes, If it were me, I'd be off to a good vet. It would be near to impossible for us to tell you over the internet without seeing the snake in person if the popping is something to be worried about or not. Only a qualified reptile vet should make that call.
Nice snake though. Good luck with her.
