not eating
Hi every body im new on this site and i have a 3' burm his name is mitch....he usually has an amazing feeding response...but lately no...he ate saturday...but it took him like half of the day to even strike it...what could be causing this...i am feeding him 1 mouse every 3-5 days....am i overfeeding...he gets lots of exersize...i havent changed anything at all in his cage...he has a heat pad on one side that keeps that side about 95...and the other side is usually the same timps as my house witch is about 71....im also getting a small heat lamp this weekend...i have one now but it is to much of a fire hazard to use

First of all, i would stick to every 5 days on feeding. 1 Week isnt too much to worry about him not eating, im sure he has plenty of girth.
Also your temps seem to be a bit off, which may have something to do with it. I would suggest keeping the highs between 85-88F and the lows between 78-80F.
Also your snake may be getting ready to shed. Check his eyes, and if they have blue caps on them he is in the shed process or if they are blurry. Shedding is probably the most common not eating reason. Make sure that you keep the humidity up if he is in shed in order to assist him and make it go smoothly.

i think that he should go into shed soon because his skin is fading and it always does that just b4 he's about to shed....ill try to get those temps fixed....the hot is 95 with papertowels but i try to keep him on astroturf most of the time were the temps are better

actually, i would keep the warm side 89-92, and the cool side no 80-83. i wouldnt go no lower than 80s.

Well I do not know a whole lot about burms, but i do think 95 is a little on the hot side. I've read that about 92 is hottest it should go.
Also, since he is in shed make sure he has a place to soak. (Cat litter pan filled with water works great, specially for a 3' burm.)

he's still small so he can soak in his water bowl...everything ive read says temps on the cool should be 75-80 and the warm should be 90-95...his temps have always been like this and he's always ate good...maybe he's just not hungry right now....do you want me to put some pics on....ill have to wait about an hour to get recent ones so you can see what he looks like and how good he looks
