Size of male rocks and male burms?
Hello I am looking for a large python, not to large, thats why I am considering a male. What are the usual adult sizes for male rocks, and male burms?
Thanks in advance,
-John D.

If I was going to get a large constrictor, Id most likely adopt a burm from a rescue..The Rocks tend to be more aggressive as they get older from everyone Ive talked to.

Just a thought, but why are you looking to get a snake that gets probably bigger than a green anaconda, if you were so concerned about how big your anaconda would get?
Male burms and rocks get bigger than male anacondas, if I'm not mistaken.

I thought they would be the approximate size of a green anaconda, give or take a few feet. I did not want to have a huge anaconda because they are extremely strong snakes.

If you are worried about the girthy snakes, but still insist on a giant, look at the male retics. I believe if a green anaconda and a retic are the same length, the anaconda weighs about double the retic.
