I chose Blood Python, even though I love all 4 of those snakes, blood pythons are nice because they don't get huge but they are nice fat snakes if you like naturally fat snakes...they have awesome coloration and attitude and they aren't picky and they EAT like a friggin' PIG! unlike ball pythons... lol
But one of these days I'll have a burm, and I'd like a retic too but I'll have to make do with either a dwarf or a super dwarf.

baaah all nasty egg layers. They all suck! Best for what? eating? pets? boots? beginners?
Ball pythons are good all around snakes. They are near idiot proof to keep once you get them debugged and eating (assuming they are farmed or w/c imports) They just bore me to tears.
Burms are a pain and probably the worst thing that ever happened to the US pet market with possible exception to green iguanas. I hate to see them in petstores because they are cute when small and attract avg Joe weekend snake enthusiasts...and usually end up dead very young....but of the ones you listed, definatly my favorite. I love the big ugly lugs and since I think it should be a crime to breed them, the fact that they lay eggs is a nonissue.
Retics, I think they are tacky snakes. Way overdecorated...kinda like Elvis's bedroom. I have zero interest in the entire species.
Blood pythons are really pretty snakes. They are a joy when young but I HATE adult blood pythons. They are like big fat sausages and when you pick them up, they flop back and forth like a freshly caught tuna. I really don't care if they become extinct. I won't shed a tear.

Hello,
I chose retics, so many morphs to chose from and I just love huge snakes!
Even if you get a "dwarf", they can still reach lengths of 15'+. Super dwarfs haven't really been bred too much in captivity so their size is really undetermined although they seem to be staying under the 10' range.
