Humidtity question?

Anyone have any opinion on the humitity things u can get for ur cage? I jsu bought a humitity thing for my 40 gallon tank and i put a blanket over the top of it to keep it in cause all i have is a screen and the humitity doesn't rise any it is higher when i have the blanked off and jsut mist the cage twice a day lol....so if anyone has an idea of how i can keep it up there please let me know ty...

Place a piece of plexiglass over two thirds of the enclosure. That should help a bit.

By "thing" do you mean a humidifier? Or maybe one of those "foggers"?

And the blanket isn't a really good idea as it collects moisture and if not changed regular will start to sour. The plexi is a better option.

To get the humidity higher you can also put water the dish on the hot side, which will make it pretty humid if you cover the top up too. Then you can mess around which air holes to make it less/more humid 'till its just right.

make sure if you put a water bowl on the hot side you put one on the cool side too. if you need humidity buy cypress mulch and mixt it a few times a day with hot water. i bought all the misters and foggers and nothing worked. plexi glass will help a lot.

no it dont and i keep mine damp. it has to be treated for mites befor use though.
