Burm sizes
i have been thinking of buying a burm, i doubt i will anytime soon though. i dont think i want a female cause i just would not want an 18ft snake in my house but how big do males grow i have heard they dont usually get more than around 12 feet. anyway i would like some input on this subject

Burms get big my man, I know a guy with a 16 ft male. You could regulate meal sizes and feeding schedules if you dont want a huge burm, but thats all BS (for the snakes sake) as far as Im concerned.

Dude if you want a male burm, and want to feed him a healthy feeding schedule, expect anywhere from 13-15' i think 14' is a pretty common size, not much smaller or bigger for the most part, but bigger, and smaller than 14' do happen. If you do get one, expect it to get 15' to be safe.

95% of the time that isnt the case though...I guess if someone has a male burm that got irregularly large, and someone had a female burm that stayed irregularly small, the male might be a teeny bit bigger, but females do get bigger than males.

I have one that is right a 10 ft and she is about 3yrs of age. She is a healthy girl that has a hefty appetite. If done right your burm may tap out at 12-15' depending on if you acquire a male or femail...

We have one sold to us as a male at about 2 feet long. We've had him for about 2 and a half years now and "he" is 12 feet odd. There's a chance he could be a she, but we've never felt the need to have him re-sexed as we don't intend to breed anyway. The reality of the situation is that you may end up with an 18 footer so if you don't have the facilities to deal with that, you're probably better off not getting a giant.
