Question vent problem? other problems?

Hey guys, I purchased a 15 ft female normal Burm yesterday. I discovered today that her vent is open. Whenever she moves her tail in the air I can see it. What do ya think could be wrong? Is this normal for a female? I thought maybe she had to go potty or something, but it's been like it all day. I wanna take her out of the cage and inspect better but she doesn't want anything to do with me. I don't want to yank her out. I bought her from a pet store(over the internet), he said she had a nice temperamant. The way she is acting I would say she spent most of her life without human contact. I reach in her cage and touch her and she'll contract her body violently until I stop. Luckily she isn't striking. I am not worried about the temperament, that'll take time, but I am a lil worried about her vent, maybe that's why she doesn't want to be touched. I'm going to set up a vet appointment on Mon., I was just wondering if you all had any ideas? Thanks for your time
