New purchase- granite burms
Hey everyone, its been a while since I've been on, but I remembered all the wonderful tips I got before, I'm sure I can get some help with this problem.
We bought some burms that are supposed to be ready to breed this season. Problem is, we are new to burm propagation and don't know what their breeding season is, exactly. Any other tips on breeding these guys and the care of their eggs would be extremely helpful. The bookstores in Arkansas don't seem to carry anything on any reptiles except iguanas!
Thanks in advance,
Lance and Sarah

I would just wait for a while on the breeding. Unless that is, you want to have 30 or so snakes to feed that you can't get rid of. The market is so floded with burms of all color morphs that the prices are dropping to the basement. You will be seeing albino burms for $50 here soon when it starts costing the breeder $150 or more a week to keep them in rats. I have already seen granites for as low as $300 on kingsnake.com. I own 2 myself, an albino male and normal female, and am just enjoying having them as pets. SOrry if I sound like the voice of doom, but there are so many baby burms out there right now that i just can't imagine them all finding long term homes.

please, there are more than enough burms that are unwanted, dumped, and going to be euthanized from no one being able to care for it anymore.....
