Recommended Dimensions for Burms?

Just a real quick description of what you nice folks consider optimal dimensions for a burm. Have the room and time and would like to adopt...just want to know how big to build.

Thanks

In captivity you could probably go down to a 10x3x2, 8x4x2, 10x4x2. The bigger the better really, but they still need regular handling for excercise in any event. Personally I would advise against giving up a whole room because I've observed very strong territorial behaviour in our Burms, and this could be a safety issue if you're walking into a room which the snake considers to be it's territory. It would also present you with a tricky situation come feeding time too.

10FT? Anyone else recommend a lenght like that? I was told by a couple of people who have had them in the past they used 6'-7' x like 2' tall and like 2' or 3' deep.

I just want to make sure I can bring a snake home to a proper enclosure...do it right the first time instead of trying to shuffle around a 12 or 13 ft snake into a new home a year or so down the road when he/she outgrows it.

PS...it would help a great deal if any current burm owners could email(rmk1999@aol.com) pics of what they use to house their snakes. I've searched all the forum pages on cagin/housing and all of the giant python pages for pics of enclosures...some descriptions found but pics in older posts wouldn't load. Your time to send those would be GREATLY appreciated.

Thanks again.

My mid-sized female(13ft) is in an 8ft neodesha and my males are in 50gl rubbermaids. 6-8ft cages are perfect for large snakes.

our 12' burm is in a 6*2 * 2, (embarassed) we will be building him a 10*3*2 shortly. Although he takes up 2/5ths of floor space while asleep, we feel the viv's too small when he's moving around (there's also a full length 2nd level in the viv)
Even with a 10 footer, if he starts to look cramped we'll be planning a bigger one.
We'd prefer to give him his own room but uk houses are pathetically small, territorial instinct can be scarey (need an "airlock" for safety at feeding time) and also we'd rather keep him with us so he gets a bit of activity going on around him.
10+ft burms are big animals and you have to see one to understand.

I think 10ft is a bit much for a male burm.6ft x 2.5ft x 1.5ft is plenty for a male burm. He's not going to reach massive proportions.

Honest Jesse, I respect your op. but we feel Domino has definately overreached the limit of his viv. He's a chunky guy and at full stretch he's got 0ft between head and tip of tail when roaming and we want him to be comfortable. I wouldn't put my ha'penny worth online if I didn't believe what I wrote.
He can't escape his habitat like we can, so the bigger the space we can afford to give him then the better it should be for his mental and physical fitness. Should he live or exist?
Although we sometimes poopoo the opinions of caresheet writers, most agree that a viv length + depth should equal the length of the snake.
On his first major move, he went from a 3 to this 6ft viv. You should have seen the personality change. From a nippy guy to a happy but-naughty-on-dinner-days guy straight away.
Just my HO.
