I have lemon juice handy in the snake room, it works fine. And seems less invasive than alchohol. Especially isopropal/rubbing alchohol. I would not ingest that, or give it to my child to ingest (if I had one). So why would I put in any of my snake's mouths? Lemon juice has worked in the past for me very well

Rubbing alcohol isn't what you use, Adam.... Drinking alcohol is what is suggested.

The snake was actually reported to be 15ft. long. Here is the link to the news report and it also has a link to the 911 call made by the boys mother. Notice that the woman (mother) says that the snake is "about 13ft long". Funny that it grew 2ft. when the reporters wrote the story.
What the story doesnt say is that this kid was planning on feeding the snake and had recently been in contact with a feeder rabbit. You can hear him say in the background of the call that he had been in contact with a rabbit.

OMG, did she bite multiple times or is that just one bite??!!! I've only been bitten by a snake once, not my own, and all I did was run cold water from the tap over his head and he let go almost immediately. Hurt like heck tho.

lol she only bit once. If it was an aggressive bit as in she bit and let go, honestly it wouldn't of hurt that bad. The pain did not settle in until she started to pull. That is not a pleasant feeling.

i swear some ppl need to be slapped a couple of times to get them to realize that playing with snake like that is pure stupidity.. so HA! at the dumbass for playing with the snake and HA! for the snake, cuz it prolly got the last laugh.
I'm sorry, but if you're gonna mess around with an animal that can snap you like a toothpick then that's ur own fault. so there. =)

I bet that littel flail-ex really put the thrill back in death. Hopefully this kid, not to mention the parents got a clue after all was said an done. Some people just aint too bright and some dont have the amount of respect for things that they should!!! Its saps like this that give the rest of us a bad rap...
