I woke up to find this laying in the tank this morning. Now I have to build an incubator. For now it in the humid box on the haet pad in the tank.
It's awefully big for such a small animal... wow, that musta felt real good to get that out.

Well I just about have it all set up now. I got this at the Tractor supply here for $35.
It has thermostaic control and I can add an air circulator to it if need be. The temps are set at 85-86 degrees F. I dont know if the egg will hatch but my fingers are crossed. You can see the egg inside the incubator.

yeah Jug.. I thought they'd be more than that too. I might go get another to have on hand. Never know what else I might find to put in that needs a different temp.
The incubation time is around 45 to 60 days.
Lori.. yeah.. I have seen them when they are quite young. I couldnt believe the size of that egg compaired to the female it came out of. That egg had to have took up all the room in her gut. Not to mention she still looks like she has another one in there. OUCH
