Hi guys,
I've had this healthy striped cape gecko named Wally for awhile like about 6 months. It's more than a year old from what I've been told at the pet store. I picked it up because no one would buy it because it can't be handled. Since then I haven't seen another striped cape gecko sold. I wondering if they are illegal to sell or not? It's a very interesting pet, but the only thing I know about this particular gecko is that it's aboreal and it requires ultra violet lighting which I have for it. I have the right setup I think. I have lots of high tree branches and I've been feeding it dusted gutloaded crickets and day gecko food.
I wanted to know more about this gecko, but when I looked it up on the internet all I found was a care sheet on it. I wanted to know more about it's background. The more I observe Wally though, it seems the more surprising things I find about him. He's really very tame for such a skitish little gecko, if he's in the right mood he'll eat a cricket from tweezers. Does anyone know more about these beautiful creatures?
