New Leopard Geckos
I'm going to be getting this pair of Leos in a trade & wanted to know what you all thought of them? I don't think they are what the guy says they are at all - but they are nice none-the-less. I believe the guy's camera makes all his photos yellowish as well, so they may not be as extremely yellow as they appear. I will definitely get better pictures once I get them tomorrow. Anyways, here is the male. The guy told me he was an enigma carrot head and tail tremper line.
Here's the female. He said she was a snow line tremper carrot head and tail.

Re: New Leopard Geckos
I'm nowhere near an expert on leo morphs, but that doesn't quite sound right to me.
"carrot-tail" describes a vivid orange portion on the tail... which I don't really see from either of those pics.
"carrot-head" is similar, orangey spots on the head... which I don't really see from the photo of the second one.
from the spotting on the second one, I suppose it could be from a snow line- but "snow" is characterized by white body and black spots... and that one is definitely yellow. Though, he isn't calling it a snow, he says its from a snow line.
Anywho, like I said, leo morphs still confuse ME, I am NOT an expert, just trying to take what he claims and define it a little.
Regardless, they are gorgeous geckos.

Re: New Leopard Geckos
I wasn't believing what he said they were either. So, maybe he was just saying those are the lines they came from and what they carry and not what they are?

I guess that's possible. If you're not specifically looking to breed them and produce certain things, it doesn't really matter much. Though, he should be more clear when selling things. Maybe you could ask him to describe a little about the genetics? Most breeders are more than happy to elaborate

Re: New Leopard Geckos
I was kinda of planning on breeding - just as a little fun project for me. I'll ask him more about their backgrounds & genetics just to see what I have to work with.

Re: New Leopard Geckos
I was thinking the male looks more like a Sunglow, and the female might be a Snow of some sort....but I'll have to wait until we get them & see 'em in person.

Re: New Leopard Geckos
He's still telling me the male is an enigma & the female is a snow. lol. And said if I bred them together I would get enigmas, snows, snow enigmas & a few surprises. He isn't the producer of these two - he bought them online from the "tremper gecko site"

Re: New Leopard Geckos

Re: New Leopard Geckos
Honestly, I don't care what traits they carry - because I'm not going to be some big time Leopard Gecko breeder or anything. Usually anything I breed anyways I keep. Any way I see it they are some nice looking geckos, though. Thanks.

I agree, but the yellow on the female seems wrong for a snow. It's been a few years since I bred leos though. I would like to see better pictures when you get them.

Re: New Leopard Geckos
Yup, they are healthy! I think the female could use a bit of fattening up, though. I don't know if he's bred her this year or not. He said she's produced 6 eggs for him.
I've been google-ing & I believe the male is a Sunglow Tremper Albino (also known as Hybino or Hyglo) & the female is a Tremper Snow Enigma. Tremper just being the lineage they come from.

Thanks. I will keep you in mind, but I don't think I will grow bored of them. They are full of personality. I see them making awesome babies in the future. It's kinda late & I'm kinda tired from walking up & down aisles today at work. Amaunet's pictures could be better. I'll probably snap a few more tomorrow in outside lighting if it isn't too cool.
