Re: my crested gecko
I have 4 of my own. =3 It's definitely hard to tell the sex when they're small unless you really know what to look for.

Yes he did get it from me. Your geckos come from the same parents, yours is two months older though.
These are the parents, btw, Boxer and Dio:

super old pic, I'll get a newer one soon. Unfortunately, Dio has since lost his tail

Yeah, his looks a lot like yours if I remember correctly.
Unfortunately Dio lost his tail because he managed to escape a few months ago. He was only out of his tank for a few hours, but I found him just as my stupid cat was chasing him. He dropped his tail in defense It really sucks because Dio is a pretty special gecko to me. He was my first ever holdback- the third gecko I ever produced. He's physically 100% fine, just lacking a tail now.

Re: my crested gecko
that sucks! good thing the cat didnt get to him though, that would have been fatal. they just drop their tails? i thought ya had to like give it a tug for them to come off, didnt think they just came off at their will.

Yeah, I know, I'm just glad he wasnt hurt.
And yes, they can voluntarily detach it if they feel threatened enough. It wiggles for about 5 minutes, too.... O.o
