Hey......well ever since I got rid of my lizards cause of my move I've had sum extra tanks. I was just wondering if anyone could suggest a nice community gecko. I have a 10 gallon so I'm not sure what would work. Some info on the species and price range would be nice. I may get something I'm not positive. Thanks in advance

To tell you the truth, Don I would slow down. No need to go rushing in and buying more herps, If I recall you just purchased a Ball python.

Always a pet rock. lol j/k. I use my small tanks 5-10 gallon to breed feeder insects. I have wood roaches in both a 5 and 10 gallon.

First off, I have pretty much kept quiet over the months. I think it's time I voice my opinion. I am not here to criticize you, but you really need to consider and slow down. You just moved, sold most of your herps and now you are steadily trying to bring something else in. You should spend more time with the herps you have now instead of looking for something else to bring in whenever you get some cash. Having a lot of herps doesn't make you cool or special in any way. Maybe you see if differently, but you should think about what everyone else is trying to say instead of jumping to conclusions and thinking everyone is just trying to criticize you.

I dont see how I was critiquing you, all I gave you was true to life advice that you should slow down. Please do not take that to offence.
To tell you the truth, Don.. Not many geckos can have a "community" in such a small sized tank such as a 10 gallon.

These guy are kind of cool looking, it is a five line skink. ( some people call them blue tailed skinks). I caught some for my son's and they just love them.
They do not get very big and my boy just find bug in the yard to feed them.
I do not know to much about them so I may just let them go come fall. Then I can just catch some more come spring time. Or I may try to hibernate them if I fine more info on them. Some of them are all brown in color instead of this color.

Oh ok wasnt sure what your lizard situation was. Breeding them isnt for profit, well not directly. My lizards are in a constant supply of roaches. You know the old saying "give a man a fish , and he will eat for a day. Teach a man to fish and he will eat for a lifetime"

How about pictus gecko's John?
They are very small but I have no idea how they do in community settings.

You could heathily house 2 pictus gecko's in a 10 gallon tank, but I would'nt consider that a "community"

yeah...in my opinon I would think 5 would be the smallest "community" out there. I wonder if there is a defined number for a community? lol

You probably didn't put one of these at the end of your post. Makes everything all right.
