Worried..
So I'm new to the whole gecko thing and I don't know if this is normal. When I spray his cage down with water, he starts attacking the drops of water. It's not some cute little prissy pounce. It's full on he-wishes-he-was-a-ninja style. He'll go face first into branches and even the sides of the cage. Can geckos get brain damage from this? Should I worry about this?

Re: Worried..
What kind of gecko? Rhacodactylus species, I'm guessing?
If it is a crestie or a garg, I wouldn't worry. Especially when they're young they can be really hyper. It seems that yours doesn't like being misted. If I were you I would heavily mist the foliage and sides of the enclosure but avoid misting the actual gecko. Or try finding a spray bottle that has a finer, less powerful mist.

Re: Worried..
I dont think you've got anything to worry about. I cant say i ever witnessed him do that, but I dunno. he should be fine though. the motion of the drops is probably just catching his eye. maybe he thinks theyre crickets or something, I dont know lol

Re: Worried..
he definately pounces on em like they were crickets.. i usually mist the sides and the paper towel a little, but lately ive been spraying him directly (he doesnt seem to mind as he doesnt flinch as some of the snakes do).
he likes to catch the droplings that are dripping down from the sides of the tubs (since theyre in motion i guess he thinks he needs to catch his water, im about to remove his water dish entirely as i assume he never uses it).
i say he but really i dont know the sex and he is a crestie.
