Lost..
So somehow during the night we think our gecko managed to get out of his enclosure. He's so small and likes to hide, so we think the chances of finding him are slim. Anyone have any suggestions of where he could be? I want to help my bf find him but I'm not sure how far the lil guy could have gotten or what they're more inclined to hide in. Any info would be a lot of help. Thanks guys and gals.
And yes we are rectifying our mistake of how he got out.

Tried using moss as substrate but noticed it would raise humidity drastically (even with lots of holes) in the tub. So when I see it gets "smoggy" in it i open it and place it sideways on top of the tub (so humidity can flow out). Well I must have forgotten (sucks of me, I know) and fell asleep with the lid on the tub with these wide openings on top. I fell asleep around 6AM last night and woke up at 1030AM so I knew he had to be in the room, them being all elusive and all and it being dawn. Looked between, under, over, sideways, all over, through everything in the room.
I was begining to lose hope, thinking maybe he got into one of the snake tubs (they cant get out of there but he's like 1.5" so he could squeeze through) and they made lunch of him. Started thinking of plans of how I could entice him to come out... I was gonna put cgd (since he hadnt eaten) in little dishes scattered throughout the room, with a nice cozy hide right next to it, in hopes it would eat, and then stay in the hide.
While I was sitting here writing this, I look out the window, and I see him.
He was nestled in a little pocket in the corner of where the windows meet:

gently got him out (he is so small) took me a couple of minutes to have him climb onto my finger. Lucky today wasnt one of those steamer miami days, it's rainy, but with little sun.
took out the moss, used paper towel, and here he it now.. his plants n junk are drying in the back ill add those back in later tonight.

Re: Lost..
what kind of gecko is it?
Assuming it's a crested gecko, or any gecko that could climb, look everywhere. I've had geckos escape here and there and i've never not been able to find them. Search high and low, in every single spot you can. even if it's been a couple days, don't worry too much, just keep searching. a friend of mine had a crestie out for 5 days before we were able to find it by completely tearing her room apart.

Re: Lost..
The thing about geckos is their ability to really run up the walls and hide behind door jambs, pictures on the wall etc. My geckos are all "climbing free" in my house. I have to be very careful closing my doors and windows at night that they are not hiding and about to get squashed!
I am one of the few Jamaicans who will not spray them as if they are pests. They are all welcome in my house.

So different little lizards move in and out of your place freely? That's pretty epic. I'm like that with spiders, mostly them daddy long legs.
