I've had my tokay for like a week now. The thing that has me worried is he used to climb in his branches all the time now he just stays under his log. Also he would always come out in the night to crawl around he doesn't do that anymore either. I stay up till about 1 in the morning and I see no sign of him. Could something be wrong or am I just being paranoid. . He seems to be eating, only if its crawling around on the floor though. If I put it in a food bowl he won't touch it. The only thing he ever took out of a food bowl was a pinkie I gave him when I brought him home. Just a few possibilities i could come up with :

Humidity level ?
Temps ?
amount of light to high during the day ? (asumming there isn't a hide spot)
Are they near a "high traffic" area ? ( possibly stressed?)

Good luck in your search .

I use a che as the means of heating the tank. He only came out during the night by that time everyone else in the house was asleep except for me. So nothing has changed about the traffic area. What do the temps and humidity have to do with the gecko coming out at night? (that wasn't a sarcastic remark Iam just wondering)

Well. the temps if too cool will make him )like any other reptile) sluggish and not want to move much. Low humidity can cause it to get dehydrated and weak.
Is your tokay eating ok or has it stopped eating for you?

Nothing has changed in the tank. The only thing I changed was instead of the 50 watt red bulb I put in a 60 watt che. The tank measurements are 24x12x13. I mist the tank at least 3 times a day. I just checked his tank it looks like he ate everything I put in there last night. I put 5 large mealies and 2 crix. One thing is for sure he's pooping like crazy. I'm probably just being paranoid about everything. I always get like that when I get a new herp. He might just be getting used to his new home. I rescued him from a pet store. They had him in a small tank with like three other different types of geckos and he didn't even have a heat lamp on him. I hate when I see a animal in a pet store and they aren't taking care of it right. I feel like its my obligation to save it from that torturing #$%^&#$%^&#$%^&#$%^& hole of a pet store. lol
