Re: Adopted Crested gecko
He may have a calcium deficiency due to eating baby food which can cause bone damage and formational abnormalities. It would be in his best interest to switch him to crested gecko diet, you can buy it at petsmart/petco or online at pangeareptile.com. Baby food is like junk food for geckos. With CGD you don't even have to feed crickets, but they do like them from time to time. You can also put a little bottle cap with calcium in it in his tank so he can just lick it directly. A very good resource is Pangea forum, there should be a link to it from the Pangea website.

Re: Adopted Crested gecko
The diet has a good amount of calcium in it, but giving them the little cap of pure powder lets them eat it when they want. Good luck with him!

Re: Adopted Crested gecko
Ok, the reason i ask is i've been hand feeding him since i got him.
I've place the bowl of food in there with crickets but he doesnt really eat anything. hes very clumbsy and falls often when he climbs around but not enough to injure himself.

Re: Adopted Crested gecko
It would probably be easier to feed him crickets in a separate container that is smaller so he can find them more easily; it might also be harder for him to catch them if he doesn't move that well. You can still hand feed the CGD to make sure he is eating. Watch for poops since they can eat so little the bowl looks full

Re: Adopted Crested gecko
I'm really not sure. Maybe he's eating it too fast or sneezing or something. None of mine have done that
