Leo Questions???

Okay so I have a couple questions... I hope someone can answer them and I hope I don't sound like an idiot for them but this is my first Leo.

1) How much should he be eating? Also I got one of those cans of super worms and he loves them. Is the canned stuff healthy or safe for him? I know a lot of people say their animals won't eat it but he loves them. He didn't really seem to like the live crickets but I make him hunt the super worms with feeding tongs so he gets exercise and make them move around the cage since the canned ones are dead. I've been feeding him 4-5 every couple days but he seems to still be hunting afterwards. Should I give him more or just feed him more often? I do dust the super worms every other feeding with calcium powder.

2) Veyt seems to get little pockets/bubbles that form behind his front legs in the armpit area a day or so after eating but they go away in a day or so also. Is this something to worry about? I am really worried about this... I can try to get a picture of it tomorrow since I am feeding him tonight.

I've never had a gecko eat that canned stuff, but i guess if he's eating it, go ahead. if hes still hungry, keep feeding him though

If you can, I'd try some live foods. Crickets, roaches, supers, mealies, etc.

I actually don't know what causes those little pockets, but I've seen them. They dont seem to be bothered by them.. so I'm not sure what to tell you about that one.

Thanks Sam you answered wonderfully. I've tried the live crickets and he had trouble catching them... I think he's a little special lol. But he attacks the dead ones just fine and he actually chases them when I run them around the cage with the feeding tongs the crickets he just stood there looking at them and moving his feet when they would try to climb on him. I had to catch them with feedign tongs (not easy I tell you) and then wiggle them for him to go after. But I tell ya if I pull out those yellow feeding tongs he gets really excited lol

the pockets are calcium reserves, if they bubble up means they're getting a lot of calcium and to back off of calc. for a day or two till they're gone etc. kinda like the crestie calcium reserves in the mouth, none of mine ever get them to balloon out though even though i dust the crap out of everything
