Ok need cage help
I recently traded a florida king for a breeding pair of crested geckos, they gave them to me in a 20 gal long, crested geckos are arboreal shouldn't they have more height, what would be a good setup for three crested geckos, two adults and one sub adult. thanks for the help, and any other things I should know about them would be helpful.

Re: Ok need cage help
Caresheet:
Pangea
How big is the subadult? Is it offspring from the pair? I'd seperate it from the other two so it doesn't get beat up or stressed out. It should be fine in the 20L for now. A 29 gallon tank or similarly sized tote (Rubbermaid, Sterilite, whatever..) with holes in the sides will work great for the pair if you want to keep them together. Or you can keep them seperately. Most people seperate their pairs at least a few months out of the year so they have time to rest. They don't need a super-tall cage, just places to climb and jump around.
Do you know what the previous owner was feeding the geckos? GCD with or without occasional crickets is best. If you don't already have it, it's pretty easy to find. Petco carries it, and so do many people who sell crested geckos and supplies online. I get mine from Gecko Ranch. Most will use a water bowl, and it'll help with humidity, too. Mine like mushed banana, apple (not applesauce), and peaches.
As long as the temps are between the high 60s and low 80s (max) you should be fine. Mist once or twice a day, but make sure the cage dries completely between misting. Don't feed babyfood. I know I'm missing stuff. Other people will let you know what I've forgotten.

Re: Ok need cage help
I have three, one male and two females. two adults are 4 to 5 inches in the body, and the little one is 2-3 inches in the body, they are not the parents. Could I keep them together, or shoudl I seperate them. I have a 20 gal long, and a 10 gal exotera, They are all eating the CGD, stuff from petco, I have not given them crickets, should I give them crickets once a week? And I am just keeping them in my reptile room which stays about 80-85 during the day

Re: Ok need cage help
Good luck with your geckos. I don't know much about them although they live in my house with me and I have to be very careful and look before I close the doors!

Re: Ok need cage help
Looks like they're all flames, and the first one (obviously) has dalmation spots. The two adults have scars on their faces, so I'd keep them all seperately for a few months to let them gain some weight (the girls look like they've got some extra skin that can be filled out) and relax.
Can you get a divider for the 20L? I'd put the females in there and put the male in the Exoterra. If they're eating CGD, I'd keep them on that exclusively for a little while, and add dusted crickets when they've been eating for you for a week or so. They're sure to get the nutrients they need with the CGD, and crickets are really just a treat.
I can't help with names, sorry. I've got six or seven geckos of my own that are still unnamed. Someone should start a thread of interesting animal names for inspiration.
Your male looks like he's going to be really pretty when he fires up.

Re: Ok need cage help
Awww, they're all so adorable! I'd keep them all separate, but that's just me.
