Hello all....I seem to be having a bit of trouble getting some of my male leos to feed. I bought both as sub-adults and have attempted to feed mealworms to both. One of them, my midnight blizzard, ate the first 3 times i fed him, but has not eaten in about 4 days...the other, I just bought saturday night has not eaten them at all...Wondering if I should try something else, or if something may be wrong. Let me know. Thanks!

I find that with leos they prefer insects that it move. Get yourself a bunch of crickets and check all your temps and make sure they are 88 on the hot side and 80 on the cool side with a night drop of 8-10 degrees at night. I bet your leos will go crazy for some crickets.

Try different food items. I have 4 geckos and feed crickets to all but one. The one did eat crickets at first but then decided she didnt want them anymore. Now she only eats mealworms. The ones that eat crickets dont eat the mealworms as aggressively as they do crickets. They tend to look at them longer before eating. Try different things and keep us posted.

Yeah, leos are weird in their preferences. They're good feeders, you just have to find out what they like. The 3 leos I had, one liked strictly worms, the other liked crickets and occasionally worms every once in a blue moon, and the 3rd ate anything you put in front of her. They're funny that way.
