My husband and I are trying to get a set-up ready for some cresteds. We'd like to start out with 2 females and get a male and breed them. I can't wait...we're going to the MD reptile farm show next month in VA and get the two females hopefully. Cresteds are just so cool.

They are so cool! I'm counting down the days until the next show so i can get a pair! My only question right now is how often do you feed insects? I've read various sources, some say you don't need to feed insects if you use the powder/water mix. While others say you need feed a few times a week. That info comes from several different online care sheets and magazine articles. But any help you could give with that would be very much appreciated.

ok, well this is my personal experience. If you use Crested Gecko Diet on a bi-daily basis, you do not *have* to feed insects. I give mine crickets about once a week, sometimes twice, sometimes more infrequently. they really dont have to have a set schedule for insect feeding

Thanks for clearing that up a little bit. I was leaning more towards only feeding insects maybe once a week or so. So i'm glad to hear that someone else does it the same.
