New gecko. Help us name her.

My wife and I picked up a new pet today at the LA Reptile show. It's a female super hypo leopard gecko. We are both arguing on the name. So we will let you guys decide. Tippy or Tilli.

I'm voting for Tippy. Here's why.

In junior high, I made a friend who is still very dear to me. One day at lunch, she and I were sitting around and I was pondering tippy cups. You know, those cups with lids and a drink spigot for little kids? Yeah, those. I had a little sister who was using them at the time.

Anyway - I was thinking about those cups, and I looked to my friend and said, "You know what a weird word is?"

She looked back and raised an eyebrow. "What?"

"Tippy."

Without hesitation she broke into a helpless fit of giggles that spanned the next 12 minutes. Ever since then, all I have to do is say that word, and she goes into near hysteric laughter.

I really like that word. I think it would make a great name. Especially when I show her the picture of your adorable little Leo and say, "Hey look! It's Tippy!"

So, really, you may now name her whatever you like, but I'll always call her Tippy. Or at least once to get an "out of the blue" laugh out of my friend.

is there any kind of trick to calming them down? this is our first legged reptile, its so hard to hold her, we're afraid she's going to get away from us and become a cat toy.
