Unless you actually got a tokay, your leo sounds like it is very stressed. This isn't normal behavior for leopard geckos at all. Does it have hides? Is it in a high-traffic area of the house? Is it living by itself or with other leos? Did you get it from a pet store (pet store leos seem to take longer to de-stress)? I take it you got it recently. Try giving it some hides, it's own cage, and maybe moving its cage to a quieter area of the house. Otherwise, give it some quiet time, don't handle it for a week (unless extremely necessary), give it some time to acclimate to its new home.

Hmmm.. I wasn't sure on this one myself Bry.. I have heard and heard of Tokays barking..BUT have never heard / of a Leo barking at all..till now. Sure this is a Leo and not a tokay actually ? The barking and the biting thing would be right in line with a Tokay
Got any pics you can show us of this one ?

Could be a hot female, which is caused by eggs incubated at temps that are too high. They are supposedly very aggressive towards keepers and other geckos, and are infertile to boot. Leos are generally quiet, but yes, they are capable of vocalizations, such as barking.

Sounds like you have a very vocal baby there!
As for it biting and barking, I will say most likely since it is a baby and has not gotten used to people yet.
Babies and smaller animals do take a little bit of handling, some more than others, to get used to us big humans since thousands of years of survival instincts tell them we are a predator.
When handling it, don't come from above it with your hand yet, just bring your hand closer while in front of it so it will get used to seeing it. Gradually step that up totouching then picking up so it can get used to you without thinking you are grabbing it to eat.
It should calm down and become a good lil leo, but on the occassion, sometimes they don't.

I've run into a baby Leo that barked. She just wasn't used to people yet. Give your Leo gradual exposure, like Eddie said, and it should calm down in time.
It's funny that something so small can make such a loud noise, isn't it? Scared the poo out of me the first time!

My little female albino leo doesn't bite, but she sure likes to bark and tail whip me(yes... a leo that like to tail whip)!! It's fairly normal for a baby leo that's not used to people to be vocal and defensive. The more the little guy/girl sees you-and the bigger they get, the less fearful they will be.
