OK.. well i was getting some crickets at the pet shop the other day for my crested gecko, and i saw these kool little guys. They were real cheap, like $16. Is that a normal price for these guys? I was temped to get one, but since the lady said they were kinda mean, i didnt. Also, i was lookin at their snakes, and in the corn snake cage, i saw a dead one. ALSO i could see mites on their ball pythons. I'm sure not to ever buy an animal from them! But anyway, I wanted to see about normal prices for these guys are, and where i could get them from a good breeder. Also, are they all mosty mean, or is the pet shop just full of poopie?(hehe)

I don't think there is such a thing as a 'tegu' gecko.... I'm thinking it should be Tokay. They are quite mean. And they do run about $15 [img]modules/Forum/images/smiles/icon_smile.gif[/img]

Yeah...sorry bout that, I MENT to say Tokay, but Im half asleep. I was looking at some pictures and stuff on tegus a little bit ago, and i think i just got a little confused. I was just about to come in and change it but then u corrected me, thanx. And thanx for the input. Im not really wanting a mean lizzard though. But jezz, these guys are pretty kool.

dragracing they are a beautiful gecko but they have a nasty temperment BUT i have heard that they CAN be tamed down if gotten from a cbb and lots of handling......also the price sounds bout right but i'd hold out and find a nice small cbb and when i say small i MEAN small

well here is a care sheet for ya.. i consider them one of the "look but no touch geckos" myself. i have never personally owned one, but have had them in my store. if you are considering getting one, here are a few tips for ya [img]modules/Forum/images/smiles/icon_smile.gif[/img] oh and i fixed the "tegu" but i couldnt figure out a way to edit the whole thread with out it sounding funny, so if any admins can correct it feel free [img]modules/Forum/images/smiles/icon_smile.gif[/img]

If ya don't like barking..then do NOT consider getting one of these at all. They bark ....and have a nasty disposition most of the time. Think I have only ever heard of one that was actually handable that someone had..so far....
