Thanks! He doesn't really have a tiger pattern, though when he's fired up he gets red on his cheeks and tail.. also some red/black dalmation spots show more than when he's calmer.

Can you believe we found him curled up in the corner of a shared tank with a skunk gecko at a poorly run pet store?
He's extremely mellow and friendly, and I just love his colors.

Re: Gizmo (DUW)
He doesnt really look that skinny to me so dont worry yourself to much. I would be carfull with feeding the babyfood due to its poor nutrition. In fact the benefiets of babyfood (quick weight) are not worth the risks (such as m.b.d if overdone). I would order some of the two part c.g.d. , which is simply a newer version that is more taste appealing to the geckos, and stay away form the babyfood.
Babyfood is a tricky thing to feed correctly, and most people eventually end up with geckos that are fat, have m.b.d. issues, a combination of the two or some other dietary issue. Almost all of the big names and people who breed cresteds in large number use the c.g.d. exclusively or in combination with insects (crickets/roaches).
Anyway, hes a good looking crested and Im glad hes improving for you.

Re: Gizmo (DUW)
Hes not skinny at all. I have some male geckos that are more skinny than that. Just feed him CGD. If you are worried about weight a bunch of mine will take wax worms, which I only feed on occasion mainly to breeder females.

Thanks for all the useful information in this post. I did feed him some baby food yesterday mixed with ReptoCal, and he loved it.. but I'll be sure to use it as a treat and not a staple. I'm off to order the two part diet - with the other cresteds I've had I did the CGD and cricket/mealworm diet, but as I mentioned in an earlier thread, he shows no interest in crickets (except on one occasion) for now.

He looked skinny to me because his ribs are constantly showing, and his head looks so much larger than his body.. Some of these pictures don't really show it all that well.
Thanks again though for your help, all of you.
