This is a leo that we picked up tonight..
It was not eating and very decimated and had several layers of shed on its toes and eylids.
Leos won't eat if they can't see.
Which brings me to the point of this post.
Look closely at where the eyes are or were that is. The best I can guess is that the retained shed around the eyes actually built up enough to cause dammage to the outer surface of the eyes and very quickly became infected.
Infected so that the eyes are non-existant except for dried skin and pus.
You can see the pus puring out in the pics and the lack of solidness behind the eyelids.
Needless to say, this lil girl would have been a lot better off with a proper humid hide and someone that was ensuring the retained sheds were dealt with quickly.
Unfortunately due to the amount of infection,(toes were showing signs of necrosis also) loss of its eyes and that it would not have lived for too much longer, I put it down quickly.
