Here I go again!!
1: What is the best humidity to keep the eggs at? I currently have the humidity at 70%.
A two-parter:
2: (a) If she laid the eggs on the 10th, when should she lay again? I hear that they lay 10-14 days after they laid the 1st set. Do they have to mate again or does she just keep the sperm inside of her and use it as she needs it?
(b) Does anyone have a picture of what their females look like when they are gravid/getting ready to lay? I didn't even notice that she was gravid! I look at her every day very closely now, but I don't see a change, and I feel her sides to see if she if there are any "bumps" for eggs, but I don't see anything yet.
Thanks!

You can tell when the eggs are in there visually the best by looking at their underside. You will be able to see 2 eggs on each side near the hind legs. From the top its not as noticable, but you will see that there are bulges sticking out the side that are just about touching the hind legs. Their tails shrink a little too as they develope the eggs inside their body.
My male was always trying to mate with the females when they were laying. Whether he succceeded or not I dont know because they were always in the hides messin around. I believe they can hold sperm though but dont quote me on it.

yes , the eggs are visable from underneath, sometimes you can see them on the sides , but its not always. also the females store sperm in their tails,as far as humidity, that i do not have memorized as of yet. lol. any book or care sheet will tell you the proper humidity level needed tho. as far as time span between clutches, sometimes its short, other times it longer, it depends on how heathly the lil girls are. average is around 2 weeks tho. good luck with the breeding proccess. soon you will have more. if your like me then you will incubate at 81 degrees to get mostly females, and buy an unrealated male. to increase your gene pool. i had albino hets and never knew it until my 3rd gen breedings when i got an aldino het male for a really good price lol.(15 bucks from a friend!)
well good luck
and dont make the same mistake i did dont over crowd
also if you get real serious about leo breeding , buy a rack system its sooooooooo much easier.

oh i forgot another piece of information. leos will breed like rabbits if you let them. at least mine and a few friends do.its best to let em breed once a year or so. since breeding is such a tasking things . you dont wanna run yer lil girls ragged and shorten their life spans now do you? any ways oh and a corrertion " when i got an aldino het male " spose to be albino. lol oh well its late and i cant fall asleep

Thanks for all the info Fyre. I've seen the male mating with the same female again, and another female. It seems like he's really ruff with them! Yikes! With the second female, after they mated, she just walked away and went back into the hide....I guess she had enough of him!
Hopefully the original female with lay again soon.

yes, that is very important. when you have a gravid (pregnant) female just lick your finger (or get it wet with water) and put it in a dish a cal-sup (while holding the female in the other hand) so it will stick to your finger and then put your finger in front of its mouth so it will lick it off. if you do not do this then the female will break down the eggs. its rich in nutrients but kills any babys. good luck with the breeding!!
