I am working with a zoologist friend on developing a protocol for safely altering the sleep cycles of leos to increase the amount of time available to the owner for observation and interaction. I would greatly appreciate any information on your leos' current sleep cycle. Please include your Time Zone so that I can include this info in the database. Any responses and/or questions can be posted here; or sent to me directly at HARWOOD_@MSN.COM
Thanks in advance - James

There are circumstances under which it would be benificial to the gecko"s health to alter it's sleep period. A breeder importing wid caught specimens (or even CB stock from Europe) would be introducing animals who's natural cycle would be displaced by 10 - 12 hours. It would be helpful to have a safe, gradual method of acclimating to animal to it's new environment. In addition, it is essential that a pet's owner be able to observe the animal's behaviour in order to notice any injuries or possible illnesses. This is not simply a trivial inquiry designed for the benefit of the pet owner. I would not involve myself with any thing as inconsequential as that. If you, or any other gecko owner and/or breeders have any concerns about this study, please feel free to contact me - HARWOOD_J@MSN.COM
