A gecko photo from the Yucatan...
I encountered many geckoes of several varieties. This is a Coleonyx sp., only perhaps one-half grown at 3-1/2 inches in length. What makes this photo interesting is that I observed the critter on the road, exited my truck with camera in hand and then while I was standing over it fooling with the camera settings, it disappeared! (more below)..

.. my partner took this photo after observing the little trickster on my shoulder! It had run right up my body and taken a position just below my left ear.
