Leopard Gecko
well found a Leopard Gecko for sale up here and I am thinking about purchasing it..... here is some info
Adult Leopard Gecko, raised from juvenile, 20 gal. tank, lights, hot rock, everything you need to keep it alive and kickin'. $65.00 OBO.
obviously the hot rock has got to go and I'm not sure about the aquarium size being too small?
Anyways havent taken a look at it yet so anything I should look for? I've been told look for a fat tail and make sure it will readily eat... also avoid one who has skin stuck to the bottom of their feet and eyes don't open when touched....
any advice would be great....
thanks

20 gallon tank will work just fine, that's kinda what mine is in except it's a reptarium screen cage and she loves it.
Definitely look for a really fat tail and kind of a chubbish body. Ask the people there at the store if you can see it eat for you. Make sure the eyes and nostrils are clear.
Mine kinda knows her name, I call her name "Cookie" in kind of a high tone and wiggle my finger and she'll come right out of her little cave and come right over to me.
That's all the advice I can think of at the moment.

same as adrya said just make sure theres a fat tail and good looking body(which should be there if theres a fat tail) and ask if you can see it eat and maybe ask what they've fed it and how often if youre that concerned. they should definitely be alert to whats going on around them also.

private seller meaning a breader? i would still ask the same things. if youre interested in eventually breeding maybe ask about the parents and any in-breeding.

I agree with the others and also see if they could send you any current pics of it . 20 gallon is plenty of room for a single adult

well then if its from a person that you just know then ask simple background questions just as we previously stated. what was it being fed? how often? and just look at the size of the tail to make sure it looks healthy.

yeah like i'm trying to build a rack this week, just can't find the sterilite's i need there's a hatchling bliz, at the shop where i get my rat's from, and it's on crushed walnut, with no humid hide, and it's just sad i want him out of there ASAP, but gotta find 1 more enclosure first and with no flexwatt it's going to be a little difficult, i think since i have the heating pad going on hers now it's better i have it dialed in to 90-93 on her tank so should be the same if i put another smaller tote on it as well .
