Theyre gargoyle geckos. I have giant geckos [R. leachianus henkeli], but none are pictured here. Theyre closely related to gargoyle geckos [auriculatus] and crested geckos [ciliatus] (both pictured above). Theyre all a part of the Rhacodactylus family, and come from the same area [new calendonia]
This is one of my giant geckos:

I dont like tokays. I only have Rhacodactylus. From what I do know about them, theyre cheap and mean, and i personally dont find them to be that attractive. More attractive then leopard geckos.. but to me, everything is more attractive then a leopard gecko.

thanks. Right on, I like island e's because of their intense pink/lime green coloring as adults.

Neato! I just got bit by the rhac bug myself. What temp are you incubating the gargoyles at? I take it you've read 'The Book'? I found the temp thing pretty interesting. This year I'm going to pick up some more cresteds, and keep my eye out for nice black/white gargoyles. Nice leachie, btw. I'd like to get some of those later on too, but with chahouas being roughly the same price, I'd probably nab them first lol.
Nice geckos, and good luck with your male gargoyle effort.

i incubated it at the normal temp, because i dont have many eggs, and you loose alot of eggs at the higher temp. Im thinking of raising up one of my female island es and selling her when she hits breeding size [which is the reason we went with both females instead of a pair]. then maybe buying a male leachie or a pair of chahoua [or both?] ill have a second 1x2x4 available which is more then enough space. I dream of someday getting the live bearing geckos, but ive only seen them offered one place, a trio for 10k. I dont even make that much in a year. but i can dream!

Geckos like any reptile are something you have to tame up. I'd say their fairly tame. I've been bitten by both of my adult females, didn't hurt that bad, and they were both one time each. Then again I've been bitten by cresteds, and projectile pooed on by all my animals. I don't really belive that they are at all more agressive then cresteds. And they get about the same size as cresteds, maybe slightly larger [they can be housed together as adults in large enclosures, which is how I have them] and they are heavier bodied.
