Is it ok to expose leopard gecko eggs to light? I have had mine directly exposed to light and I havent seen any bad effects, but it didnt even cross my mind til today there could be some. Should I cover them for the remainder of their incubation? Thanks for any info.

It wont hurt, as long as your not using it to heat them.

Telefrag's right, it won't hurt to expose them to it as long as you're not using it to heat them.
Three important things to remember:
No bright light. Don't give them water. And never...ever...feed them after midnight.

Thanks for the info. They are getting some heat from the light, but thats not the main source. I have them in a plastic container with moist vermiculite and its in a cage with a UTH. The temp is around 83 and the eggs have grown to be about 3 times the size they were when they were laid. Is that normal? This is my first year of breeding leos and I didnt expect mine to breed til next year or maybe once or twice this year. So far I have 10 eggs from 2 females. They laid 2 eggs the first laying so I figured they were healthy. Also, their tails are really fat and hardly lose any fat when they are developing their eggs. Hopefully I am doing things right and I will have some baby leos in a month or less.

Its perfectly normal for them to expand, that is them sucking up water and developing inside the egg. Good Luck!

So it's ok for them to get bigger??? I was wondering because my female just laid her first clutch and the eggs became really big over night and hardened a little bit more....

Yeah it should be totally fine for them to get bigger as they suck up water and they develop.
