cranky leo

I have a little leo that's a few months old. She's always been very sweet and active, but about two weeks ago, she got VERY active (almost panicky looking) and cranky to the point of trying to bite us pretty often. We've since discovered her warm side was WAY too warm (98 degrees) and are trying to fix it, but do you all think the temp alone could have made her so weird? Her cool side has been a comfy 70 all along. She's eating and defecating just fine. As a second question, how well do thermostats work with UTH's?

Boa Enthusiast is an unknown quantity at this point
Ok, My geckos wont hesitate to bite if you put your finger right up to their mouth. A thermostat will work if you use it the right way.
