Gallery login issue!!!
Is anyone else having trouble loging into the gallery? I type in my username and password, it tells me I am being loged in but then it takes me back to the front page so I can't get to my albums. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Usually its IE messing up.
I have had a similar thing happen when I changed a password in the albums and IE wasn't handling it properly.

yup i agree with eddie on this clear your cookies and everything and try again i logged you out from the backside so hopefully that will fix it if it doesnt just pm me

I too had that same problem a few times, then it stopped doin it to me. Haven't had a problem since the first few times I tried to log in.

I always open a second IE window. One with the thread I am posting on and the second one with the gallery so I can copy/paste the url.
Herm tried to post some pics the other day and got so frustrated he almost broke my keyboard, and he is a very patient man!

login to your photo album in the top area of the album you will see " My Albums : Add Album : Add Photos/Media : Make Changes : eCards : Listing : Help : Logout"
click add photos/media
it will bring to a new window that says "select a album" with a dropdown menu,
pick the album you want and hit next ...
then it shows five boxes that say "media 1, media2 ,etc"
enter the location of the images you wish to upload or if you dont know there location hit "browse"
and find the location on your machine
once you are done adding the files you wish to upload click the "add files" button
once you do that a pop up window will appear and you wait till the popup says its done or goes away
and you'll see the images shown on the site

Herm: If you don't like the album then don't use it. No one is forcing you to use it. The photo gallery is a nice touch to the site. This new gallery that we implemented a few months ago is much more easier to maintain, and is more automated for the user. I decided to go with it for that reason alone. Another bonus was that it intergrated real nice with the site.
IE handles cookies in a terrible way. Most of the issues (which only a few get) are from the browser IE. We are still working on fixing these minor issues, but its hard to do. The reason its so complicated is that I cannot reproduce the error myself...so I am searching for a needle in a haystack. If you want a more stable web experience then my only suggestion is for you to use a better web browser. Sure 80% of the people use IE, but that dosen't mean its better. Go grab Mozilla or Mozilla Firefox at http://www.mozilla.org . You might be surprised how much nicer it is once you get used to it. You almost never have login issues on websites with Mozilla.

i personally love mozilla... it seems to handle stuff faster has "tabbing" options has built in email,irc chat, and newsgroups

SUCCESS!!! I went and deleted my cookies and went straight to redtail using the Mozilla web browser and got right in. I must say I do like this browser and have not even played with it that much. Much better than IE. Thanks to everyone that tried to help now I can get pics of our new puppy online.

It may be easier to maintain for you, but to the end user it is a pain, and it is way more difficult to navigate. I am expressing an opinion that is shared by a great many members of this site. Sorry my opinion got your panties in a bunch. BTW don't ask me for anymore money to support this site.
