I think someone needs to go through there and delete some old accounts. There are some that haven't been changed since mid 2001 (and people that haven't been on the site since then too)

I think they admins and mods are making concerted efforts to get the site back on track so any suggestions we have should be welcome.

For the record, J Riley, I had suggested that a while back, and this is what I was told: Clearing Posts
I still think its a good idea.

As a rule, we do not delete inactive accounts. Different people use the site in different ways and for what ever reason people stay away for what ever period of time they choose to do so, they are always welcome back. If such a thing were to occur, then we would surely end up deleting some by mistake that were more active than we thought and would cause some unneeded anger. And for what? The account's list doesn't slow the site down at all...and any old posts where these people had posted before would be screwed up.

I don't think that Riley is talking about the post JPaulson....rather the actual accounts that have not been used in forever. I believe that the reason they are not purged is that would cause all kinds of problems with the post as the account and post are tied directly to one another. I may be wrong on this, but I believe that is why.
I will check on it and find out for sure Jason.

I'd probably choose Anarchy over strict regulation
And I'm talking about PHOTO albums, not posts or accounts. When is the last time anyone has seen Radkon on the site? Yeah, me either. So why not blast his photo account (since I'm sure it's not been paid for this year) and gain some space? There are others..
And you all have permission to call me just plain, ole Jay, J_Riley is not necessary

Why do that?
It would leave little red Xs in posts which means MORE work down the road when we are trying to fix dead links.
The solution has already been found, lock the albums and change them to a hidden status if needed.
That keeps the forums from getting mucked up AND prevents the person from using the album if unpaid.

I would think any dead links would be in REALLY old posts and I think more room on the server would be of more benefit, but it was just a suggestion...y'all do what you think is right...

I am still waiting for a response from Natas about an earlier photo album issue . I will try e-mailing him again. *sigh*
As far as who admins on the photo albums, that would be Morti, Fazed1 and myself

i have to agree with eddie and everyone on this issue it would just cause a big mess on the forums...leave the albums where they are that way the forums dont go screwy and if someone
gets bored and they wanna look at some pics there are more there for them to look at
