You want Oscars?

Here are my oscars the tiger is about 15 inches and the red is about 12inches. The tiger is the biggest one I have seen. These are by far my favorite fish.

I'm amazed at that size they havent killed each other. Must have a huge tank for them. or maybe they are the same sex, but even that leads to deadly squabbles. Whatever your doing, keep doing it.

Great Pics I love Oscars. i used to have one many years ago, was an awesome fish. May have to get another one.

Thanx guys
Ed-r I have had these guys since they were just little pinners. They live in a 135g which they share with some angelfish and silver dollars
They do have there battles but never really hurt each other. YOU should get another. They are my favs with the arrowanna running a close second,
I used to have a three and a half foot arrowanna which was just amazing but the downfall with them is the amount of food they eat(It was costing me 25 bucks a weekto feed it)
Other than that I wish I still that gem.

Wow I'm amazed that you can keep anything in with them specially Angels, while i know they are cichlids too, just seem to be more of the frail side. I had a couple sub adult Oscars in a 75 they are maybe 5" at he time. the worst I've seen them do it just tap one another to set boundaries. I came home one day and found one of them will all it's skin literally ripped off. Obviously it died soon after i found it, but it was still alive at the time. Only thing i was able to keep in the tank was a huge Blue Eyed Pleco. I'll get one or 2 again, just have to wait til i move. bad enough I have 7-8' cages to ove, i really dont want a huge tank to move too.

Arrowana are wicked cool, I just would never get one cuz really in captivity, they cant be housed properly. Your talking about a 7-8' long fish, just like the Pacus they get monterous too. Oscars are just big enough to be a thrill yet small enough to house comfortably in captivity.

With my oscars if it can't fit in there mouths they wont eat it. I also have a few little cory's(small catfish) the oscars have
tried to chow them down before but once they tasted those spikes they spat them right out and have never bothered them again.
