Re: need info!
"parrot fish" - Google Search
I've had the salt water variety. Wouldn't own the man-made parrot cichlid.

Theres two different species to my knowledge, man made genetic mutated teenage mutant fish.

Re: need info!
are you talking about blood parrot cichlids? they look like this:
Blood parrot cichlid - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
being from the cichlid family they are naturally aggressive, hybrid fish. there are several diff opinions on what their parents are, but i usually believe that they are a red devil/gold severum cross. they have the red devil color and the severum body shape, at least thats what it looks like to me.
although they are sometimes pretty fish, i just dont like the fact that most of them cannot completely close their mouths, something that i believe is the result of hybridizing them. i believe that their inability to close their mouths makes them a little less aggressive than other cichlids, but they still have the potential to be holy terrors, cause of the red devil blood in them lol ive seen baby parrot cichlids that were kept with goldfish while they were young, and they got along just fine, but once they started maturing, the parrots would tear the other non-aggressive fish apart
