New Pleco!!!!!!!!!

today i went to the aquarium store in hope to get at least 4 plecos, 1 clown, 1 rubber nose, 2(breeding pair) bristle nose, and any other awesome exotic ones that werent too expensive. well, no bristlenoses, sold their 1 rubber nose, beautiful L018 gold nugget but i dont have $50 to spend on it, so i got a hopeful female clown, L104. she will be the future mate for my male L104 clown, Bobo. no pics, im gonna let the new gal settle in for a few days. and im probably gonna special order the 2 BN's sometime soon.

sweet cant wait to see pics, i have current two 55 gallon aquariums fully setup, 1 20 gallon and a small 1 gallon. everything is setup im in the process of breakin down one 55 gallon to sell it. dont have the room. but clown plecos look great.

i went to check on the new girl about 30 minutes ago and she was on the gravel, and literally right next to her was Bobo, sucking on the wood. literally about 1/4" apart. so im thinking they will get along just fine.

I had a zebra and a gold nugget plex together once, I had them both for nearly 8 years before I sold them when I broke that tank down.

exotic pleco's are really fun!

I think I paid 90$ for my first zebra

yea plecos are expensive, i think i saw a zebra for like over 150 dollars.

its weird that zebras are so expensive considering they only get about 4". once i get a huge tankm 120+gall(hopefully) im gonna have like 10 plecos in there.
a few BNs some clowns, a common, a rubbernose, a gold nugger, a royal, and a few more

Congrats! Your lucky to have a good store near you...the one near me is sick. I feel so bad for those reptiles, and he just got a shipment in of some baby sulcatas and I know he's not taking care of them...

kinda off topic

but sad. i bought the new girl from an aquarium store. but im gonna be getting my BNs from Petland. i know everyone there, they take very good care off all animals from little mammals, to birds, to reptiles, to fish.

thanks. well, the new girl made it thru the night. she seems to be doing well, but she did get picked on by a cichlid once or twice, and it was the shyest cichlid too......

since she settlee in so well overnight, i decidd to take a pic. i only got 1 good pic, the rest were blury. Bobo, my male is on the left, and the new girl is on the right. and u can see my commons tail at the top

bobo and the new girl have been next to each other a few times so i think they will get along fine.

so what kinds of fish do you keep? i have an oscar, a jack dempsey, a few convicts, a texas, a brown knife fish, some silver dollars, a firemouth and some others i know im forgetting.

what size takn do you have? right now in my 10 gal i have 3 small afr. cichlids, 2 clown plecos, and a common. im gonna hopefully be getting a 75 gal soon. in there im gonna have an oscar, JD, a bunch of plecos, and maybe some other fish hat are safe with oscars

How long have you had your male? What is the current pH in the tank and what do you maintain it at? Are you planning on breeding the clowns?

ive had my male for about a year now. the pH is about 8.0 as i have african cichlids. i dont want to hear the pH is too high for the plecos, since all of them have been living in that pH for a while now with no problems. and im planning on breeding the clowns in a few months when the female is bigger. once i get a 75 gal tank, im gonnna use my 10 gal for breeding

I only asked because you specifically purchased a female for breeding and the pH is too high for that to happen.

i know, im sorry, i didnt mean to come out like that. like i said, im gonna use my 10 gal for a breeding tank, so that way i can do all the stuff with the temps and pH without affecting my other fish
