From the lack of responses, I guess it's a "no". Oceanic makes what I consider the best made tanks I've seen in the U.S. I think they owe you a new tank or a refund at this point. They have a reputation to protect, and that's worth much more than their cost of replacing your tank.

how was the tank set up? there shouldnt be any rocks or anything causing pressure points anywhere. any heavy rocks on the bottom even need some kind of padding between them and the glass bottom.

You know, I've never heard of this until recently. My friend has one of the 92's for his caiman, and a few old coworkers had 72's for fish & they had the same issue.
I have two 46's for about 3 years and have abused the crap out of one of them & haven't had an issue yet.
Now I'm starting to get a little worried.
Maybe it's just the larger tanks that are having this problem?
Anyone else hear any more on this since it was last active?

Of the three main glass tank makers I would put Oceanic at the top. I have a 75 and a 135 from them and they are over 8 years old and have never had any trouble.
BUT...........I belong to numerous aquarium forums and the "bowfront" tanks from all three manufacturers seem to have "blowout' concerns. Me personally, I would avoid bowfront tanks like the plague. Not worth the risk of having over 50 gallons of water and dead fish on my floor.
