Yes...only on per tank though(because of the electric signals they put off). They can get up two 20 inches long. If not fed enough these docile fish will eat your other fish(up to the size of a goldfish). Not that I would mess with him/her and stress him/her out,but you can teach them to rest in your hand while you hand feed them.
P.S. Thanks for the compliment on my new baby BGK.

Great information on those I looked at Brown Ghosts before I set up my tank again. I decided to just go with inexpensive fish this round, or at least untill I get my daughter past the "Darla from Finding Nemo" stage.

Yeah It's hard with little kids. My kids are older and i still only have an assortment of Tetras in with the BGK. He/she's is only a baby about 3.5 to 4" long. I feed it just blood worms at the moment. I will try brine shrimp when i get the time to buy the eggs and whip up a small batch. First I better check to see if it can have crustacians yet. That might be to much for his or her(no clue on sexing them) digestive system right now. I don't bother as much with the freeze dried stuff because I'ld think that stuff probably has less nutrition in it.Its basically a shell of what it once was.

Yeah I dont think ANYONE knows how to sex the BGKs. I looked EVERYWHERE for any kind of info on sexual dimorphism, but couldn't find anything.
If my memory serves right, there was ONE captive breeding of the BGKs, unless Im mistaken, but apparently that guy isnt talking.
If you get a chance you should check out www.aquatic-terrors.com
We'd love to have you on board to share pics and info
