Dogs & Fish
Do any of ya'll have dogs? I have an apbt, a mini schnauzer and a pit mix (she's a foster). Anyhow, they are going nuts over the fish! My apbt was licking the side of the aquarium earlier, LOL. Thought the whole thing was cute and figured I'd ask if anyone else had weirdo dogs (Weirdo dogs that react funny to the fish to keep it on topic of course!)

I had my tanks before i got my dog. He could care less about them. He is mesmerized by the rats though. He'll sit there and watch them for hours. We get them out and the rats run up to him.
Currently im house sitting my old dog (it was mine 10 years ago). Its deaf, mostly blind, and is the first time its lived indoors in 14 years. It also could care less about the fish. But looks to kill the rats.

If you want the licking to stop there is this stuff you can put on the glass and its really bitter and nasty tasting. You can pick the stuff up at the local petstore.

DOH!!
Guess I'll have to start watching my punctuation. Been online for too long and learned alot of lazy habits.
Anything that falls into my oscar tank is fair game. Spiders, moths, beetles, etc. About once a month we put in a few dozen crickets. Every week he gets 3-4 worms. And now that hes getting bigger probably gunna start feeding him pinkies. That was the one tank that i never let my nephews put their fingers in.
The stuff to get him to quit licking is a bitter apple paste, designed to keep puppies from chewing on stuff. You can go the cheap route whis is a cayan (sp?) pepper paste.

He's not hurting the tank by licking it, and it doesn't bother me I used to have a cat that played with my rats - actually if you look in my photos I just posted some of those pics last night. The "pet" rats were a failed snake food breeding program I was trying out for my mom's ball pythons I had at the time! LOL oh well.....They were good pets. My 20 someodd rats smelled a heck of a lot less than the ONE hamster we had before!
