Name/Status on Forums

Hopefully thats a good name for what i'm posting, if not feel free to change it to something better admins. As for the little name/status on each persons profile on the left here, i know how it works and how it changes etc with how many posts you have made. That has been addressed in many posts. I was just wondering who i would have to kiss up to in order to get a personalized one?

oh yeah one other thing i was wondering about, on some members it says the date they joined, does it do that after you've been a member for a year or something? I've just noticed that is seems to be the long time members that have that on there and not the relatively new folks like me?
